ff. 1r-187vTitle: Shirot ve-tushbaḥotTitle: שירות ותושבחותA collection of poetical pieces of religious character by different authors, compiled by Moses ben Michael Kohen, cantor of the Levantine congregation at Venice in the early 18th century.
The musical notes, to which the consecutive series of compositions down to folio 118v are assigned are partly representing Arabic terms in a corrupt form. The tune is also often indicated.
There are number of additional pieces in Ladino and Hebrew on ff. 153r-160v and ff. 184r-186v.
On folio 162r begins an index of compositions.

Giuseppe Almanzi (b. 1801, d. 1860), bibliophile; his manuscript no. 78: his library including 322 medieval Hebrew manuscripts were purchased en bloc by the British Museum in October 1865 for £1,000 through Asher & Co., Berlin bookseller and dealer to the British Museum: inscribed, back flyleaf v(v).
