Quires of mostly 8 leaves each, marked with catchwords at the end.
Condition
Incomplete at the beginning. Folio 352 only partially preserved.

Uniform layout. Visible pricking and ruling with a pencil (plummet).
Hair-side and flesh-side of the folios indistinguishable.

History
Origin: 1350-1399 2nd half of the 14th century Germany?Provenance and Acquisition
Folio 64v: a form of geṭ, issued by Gershon de-Mitkere Se'adyah bar rabi Mosheh, his wife being Merona bat rabi Avraham; dated Zurich, 5150 (1390).
Folio 1r: the records of birth of three sons and one daughter of Gavri᾿el ben Refa᾿el, first dated [5]269 (1509). The manuscript was then presented to Gavri᾿el's gandson, who also entered the birth of his children on the same page.
Giuseppe Almanzi (b. 1801, d. 1860), bibliophile his manuscript no. 94; his library including 322 medieval Hebrew manuscripts were purchased en bloc by the British Museum through Asher & Co. in October 1865 for £1,000 through Adolphus Asher (b. 1800, d. 1853), Berlin bookseller and dealer to the British Museum (see [Paisey_1997] 131-153): inscribed, back flyleaf (i)v.
