Includes: a piece on metempsychosis, ascribed to Israel Sarug and transmitted by Menahem Azariah of Fano (folio 161v, headed ῾Inyane ha-gilgulim) and a commentary on Saba de-mishpatim concerning metempsychosis (folio 187r). Folios 190r-211v contain an alphabethical index of gilgulim.

Giuseppe Almanzi (b. 1801, d. 1860), bibliophile; his manuscript no. 97: his library including 322 medieval Hebrew manuscripts were purchased en bloc by the British Museum in October 1865 for £1,000 through Asher & Co., Berlin dealer to the British Museum (see [Paisey_1997] 131-153): inscribed, back flyleaf (ii)v.
