Collation
Leaves and bifolia on guards.
Signatures show that the collation used to contain mostly quires of 10 leaves (signatures in Hebrew characters: ff. 6v, 16v, 26v, 36v, 46v, 56v, 66v). In addition, the innermost bifolium of each quire is kept intact.
Condition
Numerous leaves have been restored (silk gauze).
Usage stains, water damage.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 319 (but the only number in the manuscript is 'No. 7'!); purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924: inscribed on back flyleaf (ii)v; date of accession 12 March 1928.
