Compiled by Yosef ben Yaʿaḳov ibn Danon (who settled in London at the end of the 17th century) in Amsterdam in 5433 AM, that is, 1673 CE. A revised copy made by the author in 5451 AM, that is, 1691 CE.

An ethical treatise on the three fundamental principles upon which the world is based (cf. Pirḳe avot, 1:2). Composed by Yosef ibn Danon in 5450 AM, that is, 1690 CE. This copy appears to have been made in or before 1693 by Nethanel Sarfati (see his signature on f. 64v, which resembles the writing of this part of the manuscript). See E. N. Adler, Jewish Chronicle June 28, 1895 (this article mentions a second copy of the Sheloshah śarigim, which was at one time in the Library of Sir Julian Goldsmid, then passed into the possession of Asher I. Myers).

Preface and first part only; probably no more was written.

Joseph Abendanon en 13 de Hesvan anno 5454 (=1694 CE) Londres ...'; 'Moseh Abendanon Dios La Haga[...]', 'Al S. Josseph Sarfati el que haze el sulim...; 'Al S. Joshua Sarfati' etc.

Note on front flyleaf (ii)r: 'Mother copy ofשלישה שריגים from 1717 in the possession [...]. The end of the note is erased.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 37: inscribed with his name (stamp) on ff. 1r, 64v; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924: inscribed on back flyleaf (ii)v; date of accession 14 July 1927.
