The volume contains 73 chapters, redacted by Nathan ben Reuven Shapira, with his comments, and additional glosses by Benyamin ha-Cohen, Moses ben Mordecai Zacuto, Jacob Zemah and others.

Includes: a commentary on Saba de-mishpatim concerning metempsychosis (folio 110r) and a piece on the same subject, ascribed to Israel Sarug and transmitted by Menahem Azariah of Fano (folio 112r). Folios 123v-126v contain an index of gilgulim.

A records of sale, dated 1816, Ancona, between Yeshayah Azulai and Barukh Almanzi: folio 1r.

A note of Giuseppe Almanzi: folio 1r.

Giuseppe Almanzi (b. 1801, d. 1860), bibliophile; his manuscript no. 13: his library including 322 medieval Hebrew manuscripts were purchased en bloc by the British Museum in October 1865 for £1,000 through Asher & Co., Berlin dealer to the British Museum (see [Paisey_1997] 131-153): inscribed, back flyleaf (i)v.
