ff. 1r-99rTitle: Sefer ha-ḥesheḳTitle: ספר החשקConsists a kabbalistic exposition of the Tabernacle (openning verses of Exodus 25), the Song of Songs and the first chapter of Ezekiel.
From folio 1r to 27r the language is Hebrew, the rest being Aramaic.
Folios 1r-3r and 10r-12r are arranged peculiarly in two columns, the continuation of the left-hand column of folio 3r being the right-hand column of folio 1r, and from the right-hand column of folio 12r one has to turn to the right-hand column of folio 10r. Cf. the manner of writing of Mandaitic texts.

Giuseppe Almanzi (b. 1801, d. 1860), bibliophile; his manuscript no. 30b; his library including 322 medieval Hebrew manuscripts were purchased en bloc by the British Museum in October 1865 for £1,000 through Asher & Co., Berlin dealer to the British Museum (see Paisey, D., 'Adolphus Asher (1800-1853): Berlin bookseller, Anglophile, and friend to Panizzi' British Library Journal 12 (1997), pp. 131-153): inscribed, back flyleaf (ii)v.
