ff. 1r-141vTitle: Remez ha-romezTitle: רמז הרומזKabbalistic expositions of the numbers 1 to 12620, divine names of various forms being brought into connection with the numbers. The annotations are not complete, a considerable number of blank spaces having been left.
The number 1968 is reached in consecutive order on folio 136v. Folios 137r-138r contain a small selection of numbers between 1980 and 3440; on folios 138v-140r are given brief expositions partly of simple numbers and partly of summaries of selected numbers down to 12620. Folio 140v contains three columns headed respectively: mispare ayin bet, ribuy ayin bet, ribu῾e ayin bet.
Folio 141r contains an errata headed מה שצריך לתקן באותו שכתב ר' יעקב ברוך לוי בקונטריסי רמז הרומז, showing that Jacob ben Barukh Levi was the scribe of the manuscript.

Giuseppe Almanzi (b. 1801, d. 1860), bibliophile; his manuscript no. 35: his library including 322 medieval Hebrew manuscripts were purchased en bloc by the British Museum in October 1865 for £1,000 through Asher & Co., Berlin dealer to the British Museum (see Paisey, D., 'Adolphus Asher (1800-1853): Berlin bookseller, Anglophile, and friend to Panizzi' British Library Journal 12 (1997), pp. 131-153): inscribed, back flyleaf (ii)v.
