ff. 1r-36vTitle: ResponsesTitle: שאלות ותשובותThe contents are arranged into 5 sections: Yesode ha-Torah (begins on folio 2r), Yesode ha-Torah (folio 3v), Yesode ha-Torah (14r), Gerushin (folio 15r), Gerushin (folio 20v).
The letter of enquiry in the first section was written by Reuven ben David of Perugia, dated 1569. The first section on Gerushin contains the letter of enquiry written by Yosef Treves of Sevilliano, dated 1571. Enclosed is a letter addresd by the writer to Shelomoh Kats of Mantua. The last section (on Gerushin) contains also a latter addressed by Moses Provençal to heads of talmudic academies in Jerusalem and Safed; several communications addressed to Moses Provençal by his nephew Abraham Provençal; and a letter by Barukh Aziel Haschetto (dated 1554), on folio 31r.
On folio 36r begins a piece on rules regarding lulav and etrog, at the beginning of which the manuscript breaks off.

Giuseppe Almanzi (b. 1801, d. 1860), bibliophile; his manuscript no. 43: his library including 322 medieval Hebrew manuscripts were purchased en bloc by the British Museum in October 1865 for £1,000 through Asher & Co., Berlin dealer to the British Museum (see [Paisey_1997] 131-153: inscribed, folio [38v].
