Watermarks on folio 2 and back flyleaf (i). The first watermark is a hand, the second watermark is a vase with a crescent at the top and a monogramm (CO?), similar to [Heawood_1950] 3603 (dated to 1646, England).

Hair side and flesh side of folios distinguishable.

Marginal notes and smaller omissions from text added by later hand.

Italian semi-cursive script, not punctuated, of the 15th century. Shelomoh ben Mosheh ben Shelomoh ha-Rofeʾ: inscribed in the colophon, folio 231r.

Antonio Francesco Enriquez, active in 1683-1688 in Urbino, inscribed with a date of 1680 (1687?), folio 231v.

John (sic!) Finn, most probably James Finn (b. 1806, d. 1872), British Consul in Jerusalem 1846-1863: purchased by the British Museum on 13 November 1852; received 01 November 1853: inscribed, back flyleaf (i)v.
