Summary of Contents: A book of short musarim, or ethical discourses, on the pericopes of the Pentateuch, composed in Italian by Isaac Lampronti, and translated into Hebrew by his pupils.Language(s): Hebrew, Italian
ff. 1r-216vTitle: Documenti insegnatiFolio 1r is a title page.
At the end of the various musarim there are the signatures of Lampronti's pupils, in their Hebrew and Italian names.
Letters in Italian, relating to the death of Yosef Ḥayim, and to other subjects are found on folios 61, 62, 111, 112, 115.
There are two Hebrew letters on folios 113-114 composed by pupils of Isaac Lampronti.
Folios 58v-60v, 63v-69v, 117v, 159r-160v and 214-215 are occupied with shorter exercises in translation from Italian into Hebrew.
The whole volume is planned as a book of exercises in Hebrew composition.

Giuseppe Almanzi (b. 1801, d. 1860), Italian bibliophile: his manuscript no. 4: inscribed, front flyleaf (ii)r; 322 Hebrew manuscripts were acquired from his library in October 1865 through Adolphus Asher (b. 1800, d. 1853), Berlin bookseller and dealer to the British Museum 1841-1853.
