Folio 7 is bound upside down.
Numerous words and passages have been crossed out by a censor (e.g., folios 17r, 38r, 42v, 49v, 57r, 61r, 70r, 86r, 107v, 147r, 173r, 174v, 215r, 263r, 377v, 397r; entire poems, e.g., folios 58v-59v, 291v, 382v-383v).

Ashkenazi square and semi-cursive script, partially punctuated. Yitsḥaḳ: the name Yitsḥaḳ is marked many times, e.g. folios 10r, 17v, 36v, 51r, 77v, 284r, 307v.

Giuseppe Almanzi (b. 1801, d. 1860), bibliophile: his library including 322 medieval Hebrew manuscripts were purchased en bloc by the British Museum in October 1865 for £1,000 through Adolphus Asher (b. 1800, d. 1853), Berlin bookseller and dealer to the British Museum (see [Paisey_1997] 131-153: inscribed (folio [406v]).
