An Ethiopian manuscript containing:
ff. 1r-13r. Miracles of the Virgin Mary, ተአምሪሃ ለማርያም, seven in number. The beginning of the manuscript, containing the first miracle and a part of the second, is missing.
ff. 14r-20v. miracles of the Archangel Michael, ተአምሪሁ ለሚካኤል ሊቀ መላእክት, five in number.
ff. 21r-23v. Benedictions, in two parts, the first of which refers to persons of the Old and second to persons of the New Testaments, to Christian saints and to the Trinity.
ff. 23v-27v Ṣalota haymanot (Creed).
ff. 28r-30r Predictions of the coming Christ made by the Prophets. ኀዲስ ሥርዐት ይመጽእ በቀሉ.
ff. 30v-33v The Anaphora of Our Lord, ቅዳሴ እግዚእነ.
On the flyleaf; “ Presented by Claude Erskine Esq. 29 Nov. 1879.”

- Parchment, ff. 32. 9-14 lines to a page, ff. 1-3 and 32 have the margins partly cut; the script is partly washed away; 90 x 102 mm. Original binding; repaired in the B.M. where one front flyleaf and four end flyleaves, all of paper, were added.

Usage Statement: The Ethiopian manuscripts published in digitised format by the British Library are to the best of our knowledge not in copyright under Ethiopian law. However the British Library recognises broader interests in the cultural heritage which the Ethiopian manuscripts represent. The manuscripts included are often of a religious nature, and the Library has taken considerable care not to distort or alter the underlying material. We ask users also to show appropriate respect in reusing the digital images of the Ethiopian manuscripts, which should not be altered or reused in ways that might be derogatory or offensive to the Ethiopian communities for whom they are of special cultural importance.
