Provenance and Acquisition

Ownership(?) inscription on f. 40r: הצעיר יעקב בכ"ר אברהם פירנקו(?).

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 1078; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 6 November 1931.
