In the Hebrew translation of Shemuel ibn Tibbon.

There are a number of variant readings in the margin, besides other notes of various kinds in different hands. At the end of the work (folio 241r) there is a part of Maimonides' letter to Shemuel ibn Tibbon, relating to his translation of Moreh nevukhim.

There are additional pieces at the beginning and at the end of the manuscript, including poems (folio 2r, 242r), and rhymed entries (folio 242v).

Slight traces of worming.

Ink occasionally flaked or faint.

Slightly stained.

Losses to rust from clasps of earlier binding.

An acrostic of 'Yisḥaḳ', folio 243v.

There are some other notes and scribblings on the flyleaves at the beginning and at the end.

Binding

Post-1600. Light brown leather, gold tooled (initials M.B. on the upper front cover), with marks left by earlier binding. Boxed.
