Provenance and Acquisition

Avraham ha-Kohen wrote the present manuscript for his son, Yosef. The name of the latter is inscribed under the title of each Muḳadimah.

Shelomoh Kohen ben Yosef Kohen ben Mordekhai Kohen: inscribed, folio 1v of volume 1.

Moses Wilhelm Shapira (b. 1830, d. 1884), a antiquities dealer of Jerusalem: purchased by the British Library from him on 08 July 1882: inscribed: inscribed, back flyleaf (i)v.
