ff. 2r-25rTitle: IntroductionThe beginning of the preface is wanting, and the extant portion is mutilated.
Folio 3r contains the order of the tractates. This parts contains constant references to the Talmud Bavli, Tosefta, Sifra and Sifre.
Folio 21v begins part 1 of the introduction, explaining foreign words used in the text. This chapter is defective at the end.
Folio 23r gives the order of Amoraim mentioned in the Palestinian Talmud whose names do not occur in the Babylonian Talmud. This part is defective at the beginning.
Folio 24r begins section 4 of the introduction, which explains the rationale for the sequence of the tractates.
On folio 25r there is Sirillo's poem.

Condition
Defective at the beginning. Leaves missing after folio 22.

The number of the semi-cursive writing is usually 40, but that of the square writing (on the inner part of the page) varies considerably.
Many marginal notes and comments supplied in various cursive hands, partially in the author's handwriting.

Occasional diagrams (e.g. folio 268r).
Folio 1 is a title page in Hebrew and German (later addition).

Sefardi square and semi-cursive script of the 16th century, partially an autograph of the commentator.
Additions:3 folded leaves at the end of the volume, of a recent date, in an Ashkenazi cursive script, with notes on Talmudical portions beginning on folio 143v of the same manuscript.
