Brown leather binding, quarter-bound (or perhaps spine has been restored). With one leather/metal clasp.
Title on spine: '487 תפילה כמנהג איטאליאה'.
In the digital surrogate the fore edge including the clasp is called back flyleaf (ii)r.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 487; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 9 August 1928.
