Originally a larger manuscript containing 277 folios. Currently bound in two volumes: [BL] Or 10104 ff 1-136 and [BL] Or 10104 ff 137-277.

According to the title and colophon on f. 10r, it is the second part of the Seder of the three festivals and of the high holidays, arranged according to Isaac Luria’s (ha-Ari's) mystical intentions (kaṿanot).

Ff. 1r-7r: various prayers, order of references, order of finger counting of the solar years, etc.

Colophon: "סידור חלק שני של שלשה רגלים וימים נוראים מסודר על פי הכוונות של האר"י זלה"ה בקיצור ... ויש בו קצת ליקוטי סגולות ותהי השלמתו יום ר"ח כסליו שנת י’פ’ת’ח’ ... לפ"ק הצעיר יעקב ב"ר שמעון אשכנזי ידיע ברומלי[?] 5498 " f. 10r

Serious iron gall ink corrosion; corrosion caused numerous holes, parts are missing (e.g. f. 27); text is illegible in places.

The entire volume is laminated.

Origin: 1737

Provenance and Acquisition

F. 1r: comment written in in 1792/3 (AM 5543) in Egypt, which mentions the gabai (manager of a synagogue) Hayim Yosef, and the Rabbis Shabtai and Refaʾel.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 31; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 13 August 1927 (inscription in volume 2, f. 277v).
