Ff. 8r-8v: piyutim for circumcision.

Amulets from Avraham ha-Levi bar David known as the first Rabad (ראב"ד) (f. 9r) and from Yitsḥaḳ ben Shmuʾel of Acre (רבינו יצחק דמן עכו) (f. 9v).

At the end of the manuscript is a recipe for haroset, in Latin characters.

Contains characters of cryptic alphabet.

Provenance and Acquisition

F. 1v: M. Gaster's acquisition note: 'from Mrs A. Abecasis 16.2.904.'

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 603; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 15 April 1929.
