The title page reads:
According to the title page, the scribe, Yehi’el ben David ben Porat writes that he started copying this book on Tuesday, first day of the month Kislev 5337 [= 2-11-1576], and that he copied from a book written by the hand of Refa’el Maccabi Finzi son of the aforementioned Ya’akov Yisra’el Maccabi Finzi.
The MS was copied from MS Cambridge, University Library, Add. 512 ([IMHM: F 16805). See the colophon in the Cambridge MS.
Quotes from many sources, both halakhah and kabalah, but most often from Menahem ben Benjamin da Recanati.
At the front of the manuscript are compilations of kabbalah, Halakhah, letter substitution systems and some of Ya’akov Ibn Habib’s teachings regarding release from oath.
