Support: Paper with laid lines and chain lines. Two kinds of leaves: the bigger are of bluish colour, the smaller are white.
Extent: 16 folios (no flyleaves)
Dimensions (leaf): 138/150 × 99/103 mm.
Foliation:

Foliation in Arabic numerals in pencil.

F. 2r is blank.

Collation

Two quires (ff. 2-9 and ff. 10-13) are embedded into the bifolium (ff. 1 and 14), third quire is a single bifolium (ff. 15-16).

No catchwords.

Condition

Usage stains.

The outer lower corner of f. 2 has been cut off.

Provenance and Acquisition

Label with a (catalogue?) number on front cover: 'No. 720'.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 553; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 8 April 1929.
