The colophon on the title page suggests that it was made for Zuskind ben Jacob.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 981; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 26 November 1929.
