The author was the emissary of Jerusalem to North Africa. Some of his sermons were composed during his mission while being in טארבלוס (Tripoli) in the year תקי"ח (in 1757/8) (f. 39r), and in Tunis in the year תקי"ט (in 1758/9) (ff. 28r, 32r).

Begins with a sermon which was delivered in Bet Midrash Yaʾaḳov Ferrera in Jerusalem.

Unfoliated blank leaf after ff. 38, 52.

The last couple of folios are damaged.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 667; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 9 September 1929.
