A service book for a public fast day, praying for rain, instituted during a drought.

ff. 1r-123vTitle: Seder tefilot le-taʿanit shel ʿatsirat geshamimTitle: סדר תפלות לתענית של עצירת גשמיםPerhaps compiled by Moses Uzziel, see f. 57v, line 1: אני הצעיר משה עזיאל. His name occurs elsewhere in the manuscript as author of piyutim (e.g. f. 110v).
Only from the second blessing of the six blessings which were added to the Amidah prayer in the ta’anit (fast) for drought relief.
With selihot and piyutim, one of them is a rehuta (a certain type of piyutim) by Yehudah Tzarfati (f. 78r), which begins: ירצה תפלת עבדיך, and another is a confession composed by Mosheh Azriʾel (f. 110v).
Incomplete at the beginning; lacunae for example after f. 93., f. 97v (cf. notes in English in pencil on these leaves).

Catchword on every verso; signatures on the first leaf of some of the quires starting (ff. 8r, 16r, 24r, 32r, 40r, 48r, 56r, 64r, 72r, 78r, 86r, 95r, 98r, 106r, 114r). First signature is on f. 8r indicating that it is the beginning of quire 5.
Condition
Upper part of the collation is damaged, damaged.
