- Scope & Content:
- These boards formerly served as part of the binding for the Mostyn Psalter-Hours (Add MS 89250). The upper board may be made from ash wood and appears to be a replacement, perhaps made in the seventeenth century. The lower board may be original (dating to the last quarter of the thirteenth century) and appears to be beech or oak wood. The boards have been covered with blind-tooled brown calfskin leather, most likely in the seventeenth century.

Stephen Keynes (d. 2017), London: the manuscript was rebound in 1975 by Sandy Cockerell (b. 1906, d. 1987) when the boards were removed; given by Keynes to the British Library in 2017.
