ff. 1r-1vTitle: שאלה בענין יום טוב שני של גלויותTitle: Sheʾelah be-ʿinyan yom ṭov sheni shel galuyotA printed circular dated the 10th month of 5614 (=1855) from Mordekhai ha-Leṿi Mortara and Solomon Nissim, of Mantua, soliciting rabbinic opinions concerning the abolition of the Second Day of the Festivals in the diaspora.
This copy is addressed to Shemuʾel Nissim at Siena; the addressee and the town are added by hand onto the title on f. 1r: אל פני מלא רוח בינה לראש פינה הרב הגדול כמוהר"ר שמואל נסים נר"ו וחכימי דיהודאי דישרן סמיכין עלוהי לתורה ולתעודה בק"ק סיינה.
Date and place, and authors of the letter are given at the end: פה מנטובה יע"א הו"ד ןחדר לח' העשירי ש' בה'ר' ה'ק'ד'ש' בירושלם לפ"ק. נאם חמשרת בקדש עה"ת ועה"ע הצעיר מרדכי הלוי מרטארה והמשרת בקדש למשנה הקטן שלמה נסים.
