Content: A royal scroll of Emperor Cảnh Thịnh of the Tây Sơn rulers (1772-1802) to welcome Lord McCartney, the head of the British diplomatic and commercial mission to China but was struck by storm off the coast of Central Vietnam in 1792. The scroll is slightly damaged and though the day of the month can still be read, the part of the text naming the month and year is missing. Texts are written in Vietnamese language in Chinese (Hán-Nôm) characters.
