For the years Tishrei 5602/16 September 1841 to 28 Iyar 5624/3 June 1864.

The compiler of the manuscript was a well-known printer of Hebrew books in Calcutta.(see Sotheby's catalogue).

Contains references to communal and family affairs, and mentions the arrival of famous Jewish scholars in Calcutta to collect money for the Jews in Palestine.

Also contains a register of births and deaths in the Jewish community of Calcutta (ff. 73v-74v).

Hebrew and Eastern Arabic numerals.
