- Manuscript letters from John Masefield to Mrs Marta Hodgkiss, of Liphook, and later Gosport, Hampshire (with envelopes), and typescript carbon copy replies from Hodgkiss to Masefield. Apart from two letters in 1957, the correspondence chiefly dates from 1961 to 1967. The letters concern Masefield’s writing, admirers and translators of his work in Czechoslovakia (Marta Hodgkiss’ country of origin), sailing ships and the sea, and nature.
