Collation
Each folio is on a separate guard, original collation cannot be reconstructed.
No catchwords.
Condition
Usage stains, worm damage.
Liquid damage, especially towards to end, and due to this parts of the text are faded and illegible.
Last several folios are fixed with silk gauze.
Layout
Columns:1 15
Uniform layout.
Ruling and in some places pricking are visible.
Hair side and flesh side are distinguishable.
Running title.
Marginal notes.

Sephardi square, semi-cursive and cursive script; in brown, red, and blue ink.
Decoration
Numerous charts with penwork decoration sometimes inhabited by human figures, baboons, hybrids, in red and mauve ink.

Purchase note by Joannes Plantavitius de la Pause (Pausanus), bishop of Lodeve (b. 1625, d. 1648) on f. 2r: 'Kalendariu「m」 Hebr. Emi Romae 24 Nou. 1620. Plantauitius Pausa「nus」'.
Remains of the original leather binding with the coat of arms of Jacques Nicolas Colbert (b. 1655, d. 1707), archbishop of Rouen pasted onto the back pastedown.
Acquired by gift from the Inter-Allied Book Centre, April 1946. Date of accession (by J. Leveen) 1 August 1946.
