Includes texts copied from books, novellae on Halakhah and Aggadah, commentaries on Biblical verses and sermons, most of which were written between the years 5539-5540 (from 1778 to 1780).

A text about his illness in the year 5540 (in 1779/80).

Date 5539 (1778/79) is given on f. 5v; date 5544 (1783/1784) is given on f. 72v.

Note on front flyleaf (ii)v suggests that there were more than six volumes: קונטר’ י"ב (see also Or 9172).

Note of a payment(?) in Italian on f. 73v: ' primo A｢gu｣sto 1777 Livorno(??) ho sicuro io sottoscrito dal ... celase ... lire quaranti monda.. paga a conto M ...'.

F. 1r blank oval stamp with the initials 'JD' (or possibly 'JDA').

Acquisition note on back flyleaf (ii)v: 'Bought of Dr. H. Rosenberg. 8 July 1922.' Date of accession 14 July 1922.
