Provenance and Acquisition

Ownership inscription on front flyleaf recto: 'Binoscr... Min. Esterina Minerbi di Ferrara nel anno 1842'.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 468; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 26 July 1928.
