Twenty-nine letters written by Lucretia West while her husband was serving as Recorder and Chief Justice at Bombay, describing her social life in India, family news, and her husband's work. The letters are addressed to her brother Sir William Browne Ffolkes, and his wife Charlotte, in Norfolk, England.
Also included with the letters are memorials signed by John Leckie, Mayor of Bombay, and John Robert Ried and Henry Meriton, both Aldermen, dated October to November 1823.
