Origin: 1800Provenance and Acquisition
Ownership inscription on front flyleaf verso: 'Raffael figlio di Sig.r Beniamin Nissin Levy. Prega il Sig.r Moise di Lassiargele per quest' oggi'.
Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 158; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 24 September 1927.
