Ownership inscriptions on front flyleaf (ii)v: זה ספר ... רופא קניתי בעד קא זהובים ריאלענדיש הש"י יזכני לקנות ספרים הרבה עד אין קץ לפ"ק [=תקכ"ה?] ... נאם הקטן מנחמענדלי בלא"א כ"ה דוד רופא מק"ק הילס אצל קרעווילט במדינות קלוניא; 'Dießes Buch Geherth dem hoch Gehrter her Doctor practicus in De medecen Mendel Davis geburtig in Hüls bey Crevelt in Cuer-Cöllischen Landt'; 'William Jasker(?).

Note in English on front flyleaf (iii)r: 'Mr Davis Sir - I will be glad to see you at Mr Henderson Stabler Grafs market in about Half an hour as I am obliged to go to ... immediat. after______ '.

Ownership inscription(?) on front flylleaf (iii)r: 'Phillip Phillips'.

Ownership inscription by Doctor or Mr Davis several times, on f. 1r: 'Doctor(?) Davis'; ' Mr. Davis 1786'.

Circumcision records on f. 1r in Hebrew from 5538 - 5541 (1777/8-1780/81). Among others mentioning: Edinburgh (בעיר עדינבורג), Dublin(?) (ואני מלת בבית הכנסת בק"ק דובלין).

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 1203; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 16 December 1931.
