On the front flyleaf (ii)v, there is a reference to 'Kat no. 25, No. 173'; probably a reference to the Schwager-Frankel catalogue.

Foliation in Arabic numerals in pencil, running from LEFT to RIGHT.

Ff. 2r and 34v are blank.

Collation

2 quires of 24 leaves. Quire ii includes 11 unfoliated blank leaves (these leaves are called back flyleaves in the digital surrogate).

No catchwords.

Condition

Usage stains, slight iron gall ink corrosion.

Post-1600, black cloth binding. Front flyleaf (ii) and back flyleaf (xii) were the original covers of the volume.

Provenance and Acquisition

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 1384; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 4 February 1932.
