האגרת נשלחה מפוסטסט לפרנס באלמדינה. תוכן האגרת הוא בעיקר תודות וברכות. מוזכרים "אבו סעיד בן אלשעאב", ו"אבו סעיד יעקוב בן אברהם" קטע גניזה |2|את כתב ידו של משה בן יצחק אפשר להכיר בלי קושי; לא ידוע אם כתב בשם עצמו או למען מישהו; ייתכן שהמכתב נועד למישהו ממשפחת התסתרים; עיקרו דברי תודה על תמיכה וציפייה לחסדים נוספים. ראה מרגליות, קטלוג, ג, 561, הסבור בטעות שכתב-היד הוא מהמאה הי"ב ושהמכתב נשלח לאלמדינה.
