The story relates the hardships that befell the jews of "the western countries" particularly in Tripoli, in the year 5349 (1589) during the revolt against the Ottoman (Tugrami) regimeL insurrection of Yaḥya ibn Yaḥya (al-Tabit) against the Turkish rule in Morocco, his persecution of the Jews, and his ultimate defeat and execution.

Incomplete at the end.
