Provenance and Acquisition

Acquisition note by Moses Gaster in the upper margin of f. 1r: מתנה מאת אברהם דוד סתהון מחברת תלמוד תורה בארם צובה (Aleppo. 907.)

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 953; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 20 October 1938.
