R. Henekh oder ṿos ṭuṭ men damiṭ ('What Is To Be Done?'); a play in which the foolish characters soeaj Yiddish. Isaac Euchel was a member of the Berlin Haskalah, and claimed that Yiddish is inferior to ancient Hebrew and modern German.

Title page on f. 1r: ר' הענאך - אבער: וואס טוטט מע דאמיט - איין פאמיטיעז געמעלדע אין 5 אויפציגעל.

Notes in English and French (in Latin script) on ff. 5v, 6r, 6v, 7r.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 133; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 21 September 1927.
