With texts of Idra Raba and Idra Zuta are included.
In his Preface (Haḳdamah), which comes at the end of the work (ff. 77v-78r), and where the title is given, the author states that the commentary was composed in Gibraltar, and was based on that of his teacher, Jacob Maragi. He also added material from the commentary of Menahem Lonzano. F. 77v: בה דברי המחבר ... ואלה דברי דוד האחרונים .. ומארצי למתא ג’יבאלטאר יע"א נקראתי .. וקבלה שקבלתי מאיש אמונים מו"ר כמוה"ר יעקב מאראג’י .. ואני .. יגעתי בדבריו להוציאם לאור .. קראתים קדש הלולים .. ובימים האלה חזרתי לכתוב פי’ אלו האדרות .. בתוספת מרובה על העיקר פי’ על אדרת פ’ האזינו השמים מפי’ .. מנחם לונזאנו
