F. 1r: Arabic inscription, 'Aux Capucins D'Alep', 'Pentateuch in Arabic written at Aleppo.'
F. 160r: note in Syriac saying that the MS was owned by Capucius; Latin notes referring to the same owner on note in Latin: 'Loci Alepi Capucinorum Catalogo Librorum Inscriptus' (f. 2r); 'Ex Libris Capucinorum alepensium' (f. 159r); his seal on f. 2r: red wax seal with Virgin Mary in the middle and partially illegible inscription around it: '...uc Alepien Sigil H. Minorum.
F. 161r: Arabic note of the previous owners Abdallah b. Ganima as-Syriani and Hanna b. Ata Allah as-Syriani from 1662.
M. Gaster's note in his handlist: 'Bought from [Way] sale 827MS - which originally belonged to Capucius in Aleppo whose wax seal is on f2. It had come into their possession before 1651 - came into hands of Capucius according to Arabic note at the end of Exodus.
Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 1164; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 14 December 1931.
