According to Crown, it was done in 1317 AH, but the correct date is 1217 AH. The same incorrect date is noted in pencil on front flyleaf (i)r.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 839; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 27 March 1930.
