An Arabic translation of the Samaritan Pentateuch divided into small sections in agreement with the division of the Samaritan Pentateuch.

Arabic text in Arabic script with the opening words for each verse in Samaritan Hebrew.

Incomplete at the beginning and at the end. Lacuna between ff. 87 and 88.

Origin: 1324

Provenance and Acquisition

It was bought in 1501 by Yusuf ibn Rashid idn Abdallah, of the Romah family, from Abraham b. Negama b. Abdallah, of the Shafet family (crown).

There are some notes by Shelaby ben Jacob dated to 1300 AH (1882/3).

Acquisition note on back flyleaf (ii)v: 'Bt of Yakub al-Shalabi 9 Nov. 1883; date of accession July 1884.
