Oblong format. Text runs parallel to the spine. The orientation of the text is not the same throughout the manuscript (in the digital surrogate, the images has been rotated for readability).

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 1291; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 13 January 1932.
