Colophon: f. 183v. The Ms. was written, in the third year of the reign of 'lyasu (III), A.M. 7278 =A.D. 1785-6, by one Takla Selase ተክለ፡ ሥላሴ.Tha name Wald ‘ab ወልደ፡ አብ, is a later alteration. The first owners were, Gabr Maryam ገበረ፡ ማርያም nad his wife Ḫiruta Śǝllāse ኂሩተ፡ሥላሴ. On f.4r, the names have been substituted by Gabr Ḥeywat ገበረ፡ ሕይወት፡, Ḫayla Māryām ኃይለ፡ ማርያም፡, Takla Haymanot ተክለ፡ ሃይማኖት: and Kidana Kidāna Māryām, ኪዳነ፡ማርያም.
f. 184r, this Ms. was presented by Ras Gabr ለታቦተ፡ ፍልስታ፡ እግዝእተ፡ ኵልነ፡ ወትምክህተ፡ ኩሉ፡ ዓለም፡ ወለ አቡነ፡ ዓቢየ፡ እግዚእ፡ ጻድቅ፡ ወኄር። ዝመጽሐፍ፡ ዘታቦተ፡ ፍልሰታ፡ ዘወሀባ፡ ራስ፡ ገብሬ።

However the British Library recognises broader interests in the cultural heritage which the Ethiopian manuscripts represent.
