It was found in the binding of a copy of Jacob ben Asher's Arbaʿah Turim (Constantinople, 1493) belonging to Eric Sexton (1902-1980).
Acquisition note on the back of the glass frame: 'Presented by Eric Sexton Esq. 10 Oct. 1936'; date of accession .
