Contents
Novellae on the Pentateuch by Jonathan Eybeschuetz.
According to J. Leeven, it was copied by Rephael b. Zalman Beit (see Margoliouth, vol. IV); but on the title page he is mentioned as the owner of the manuscript, not as the scribe.
Contains sermons for the Parashiyot, for the festivals and for weddings.
Altona is mentioned on f. 118r: מה שחנני ה’ בק"ק אלטונא.
Třebíč is mentioned on f. 121r: בק"ק טריביש.
Amulets and charms at the end (ff. 129-130).
Copy date mentioned in the colophon on the title page is 5519 AM (1758/9 CE). However it must be only the start date, and the scribe must have worked on the codex for years since ff. 73r and 74r mentions the author Eybeschuetz as deceased, and he died in 1764.
