Binding
Post-1600, brown leather binding, blind-tooled. On front cover: 'שורשי השמות'. In slip case covered with marble paper. Boxed.
Front flyleaves (ii)-(ix) and back flyleaves (i)-(xii) are of blue paper.
In the digital surrogate the front of the slip case is called back flyleaf (xiv)r; the back of the slip case is called back flyleaf (xiv)v; and the spine of the slip case is called back flyleaf (xv)r.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 1692; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession .
